Springtime Fever

Updated on April 11, 2010

Wow! It seems as if Spring has eventually arrived in London and about time too after the nightmare Winter we've had! From deep snow to pink blossom and Magnolia, this is my favourite time of year when everything in the garden is coming to life and looks so lush and healthy!Beautiful vivid colours from light pink to bright pink, to vibrant green and everything in between! Even my fish in the pond which was frozen over for most of the Winter months have managed to have babies, 4 cute, tiny black gold fish, they turn gold later.

The temperature has gone up and I for one am hoping for better times. The last 6-8 months have been so difficult, a real nightmare of one problem after another and I'm not out of it yet. Absolutely nothing is working out and everything is a fight. So with the beauty of Spring I feel inspired and energised. My favourite pink 'cherry blossom' is not out yet but it will be soon, It's always the last to come out and let's hope those bright pink clusters last when they finally arrive. Because if it turns out to be windy, they'll be gone in days!

Spring is the season for new beginnings, the start of new life, so for us all an inspiring hopeful time! It's even more special if Winter has been long cold and miserable. The snow and ice we saw so much of in London this year and last completely messed me up business wise but I must say for the first time I found the snow enchanting! Partly I think because there was so much of it. Deep, deep, crisp, white perfect snow it was clinging to everything in sight. Winter was so bad, so Spring is late but very special this year, we thought it would never arrive, well I thought anyway!

So let's hope for a great Spring and Summer (although in London you don't hold your breath while waiting for a good Summer, very rare these days)! Spring can also be a really spiritual time I guess (I'm not spiritual in the religious sense but in the down to earth, treat people the way you'd like to be treated sense) Easter is during the Spring and eggs are a sign of new life! The rising of Christ from death is a great sign of new starts and new beginnings after his horrific crucifixion! A sign that I suppose times can be awful and suddenly change for things more positive. I can live in hope I suppose! Not suggesting that my problems are anything like the death of Christ but just bad!

Happy Spring time to anyone who feels they need a new start to life!
