The season of giving

Is upon us once more.

Take some time to reflect.

What are you thankful for?

As you shop for presents

And decorate your house,

Attend all the parties

With your friends or your spouse,

 

Will you still remember

This holiday season,

Even though you're busy,

That Christ is the reason?

Will you take a moment

Out of every day

To say, "Lord, I thank you

"Because You paved the way?"

 

Will you never forget,

As you're trimming the tree,

The greatest sacrifice

He paid on Calvary?

As you're warm and toasty

With your family and friends,

Give thanks to The Master

For cleansing our sins.

As you try to do more

Than you can in one day,

Just stop for a second ...
