Things You Can Write in a Christmas Card
Why Do We Send Christmas Cards?
Sending and receiving Christmas cards has been a long loved tradition for many people across the world. For those that celebrate Christmas, this is sometimes the only time we even hear from some people! Its great to receive all kinds of cards, whether an e-card, or a paper card sent in the mail. Who doesn't love to receive a paper card in the mail?
Some people like to buy cards with the sentiment inside, and just sign their name, while others want to perhaps make or craft their own card and add a sentiment. Coming up with your own sentiment is special, but sometimes we need a little help. This is especially true for me during the holidays, when things seem to be extra busy!
So below, you will find some sentiments I hope will give you some inspiration to use as they are, or to spur your own creativity on!

Some Verses to Use in Christmas Cards
The above section included sentiments for both secular and non secular cards. This section is geared more towards people that might want a biblical scripture or verse to go with their cards. They may or may not refer directly to Christmas or the birth of Jesus, but could be included in a card for encouragement, etc. Some of these can be neat reminders of what the season has meant to many people for a very long time. I hope you find them helpful or refreshing!
"May God bless you His special favor and wonderful peace." II Peter 1:2 NLT
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights." James 1:17 KJV
"May all who search for You be filled with joy and gladness. May those who love Your salvation repeatedly shout, 'God is great!'"
"For unto us a child is born. Unto us a Son is given: and the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called wonderful counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
"The Mighty One has done great things for me - holy is His name." Luke 1:49
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45
"In Him we live and move and have our being." Acts 17:28 NIV
"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
"And when they were come into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshiped him." Matthew 2:11 (Speaking of the wise men that had traveled from afar.)

My Personal Thoughts On Sending Cards
As I stated before, I love to send cards. They can make the recipient feel special, and thought of. In this world, we get so busy and time flies by. It's a great way to keep in touch that really doesn't cost much in time or monetary investment.
I have both made my own homemade cards using craft supplies, and also purchased all kinds of cards. Usually, I only have the time to buy cards, but hope to make more in the future, using stamps, and special papers, etc. If you have the space to craft and the time, its very fun and rejuvenating! The people that receive such a card, feel special also. I know that I treasure any homemade cards for sure, and even put them up for display.
Even if you can't send out as many cards as you would like to, why not send out a couple cards to neighbors, friends or family? I can't imagine ever regretting getting them. After my dad passed away a couple of years ago, I was so touched to see that he kept the cards that people sent to him during the holidays and other times of the year. How much they meant to him! How special to be remembered, and to know who cared for him, that I might not have otherwise really known about.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful and bright Christmas, or other Holiday, filled with love, joy and peace! Wishing you the very best in the New Year also!
