Christmas Day
What is Christmas?
Everyone knows what Christmas means, both young and old:
They know it is a time to give, to receive, and to spread Gods love and cheer;
Grateful hearts with our spirits so high at the end of the year.
One and all we search and seek to find the meaning of this,
How it all started with a boy, baby Jesus, and his humble mother, Mary,
It happened long ago, when an angel gently spoke to her, “ye shall conceive”.
And then carpenter Joseph obediently led the way to Bethlehem,
even while a shining star led the wise men to find them, and
importantly proclaimed this newborn child to be the future King,
Savior and Lord. For all this, we rejoice, For all this we rejoice.
So now we seek, each and every one of us, at Christmas time,
To hail him as our living Lord, and crown him King of Kings
our allegiance in every gift we give; in all the songs we sing,
to show our love for God above in sending us this mighty one
with His love on Christmas day.
Nothing else compares with finding him always there,
And giving us the greatest gift; sharing it abundantly.
The glorious gift of life that comes from above.
So think of how he gave each one of us our own Christmas Day.
When he became our Savior, and we became his; The very reason for this day.
“Born this day in the City of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord:”
For this we rejoice, we rejoice!
