Tips for celebrating Valentines day alone

Updated on March 17, 2011

Celebrating Valentines Day

Not everybody on Valentines Day has a lover or a partner, some are just separated from their partner or are still looking while some don’t bother at all. Caught in the commercialization of Valentines day we can actually enjoy it and have fun too. What the heck, just be happy and have some fun is the idea. Fact is you might not even notice the time and you have no idea it is the Valentines Day. here are some of my tips for celebrating Valentines day alone.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 1 -- Spend your day pampering yourself, go to a spa, beauty parlor, do your hair, your nails and make yourself beautiful, that’s for women. For men, you can do that as well, pamper yourself for the day.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 2 -- Reflect about love in general, like for example what are your take about it, your plans about relationship and what happened in the past about your relationship. It is time to get an honest to goodness take on your love life too. Laugh at all your past relationship and think about how it went and what can you do in the future, on that day you need to reflect on what is wrong and try to examine yourself if you are really looking for one or just wait for it to happen.

Some tips for celebrating Valentines day alone

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 3 -- If you are in a lovely mood set a lovely music, set the table, prepare a sumptuous dinner for yourself, sit down with and get a wine in your hands and close your eyes, just close your eyes remembering the feelings of being in love again, this may sound crazy to you, but sometimes there is nothing like being yourself and enjoying being alone.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 4 -- Or go out with your friend who doesn’t have a date on that day, he/she will be glad she has a companion too. Don’t just crowd out the restaurants etc as those places will be a plenty of lovers.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 5 -- Rent a DVD and then sit down and get a chips, beer in hand and drift off to the movie you are watching.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 6 -- Sleep and relax after four hours you are refreshed already and you can think of an idea on how to spend the rest of evening.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 7 -- Visit your parents or nearest relative or a friend and talk to them, probably they are on a date also, call them first if they are available for a talk, or visit them or invite them to come over to your place.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 8-- Sit down in your computer and if you are in a lovely mood, write a poem or write any rant about anything, or if you think you have a knack for writing, start writing a short story or any opinion.

tips for celebrating Valentines day alone 9 -- Just for the spirit of it and if you are looking for someone, then why not try to make a profile in dating sites. You will never know, next Valentines Day, you are not alone anymore.

These are just ideas, it is your choice on what makes you happy on Valentines day.

Good ideas! Best way to not feel alone is to learn to love your own company. Personally, I really enjoy being alone - I'm a riot to hang out with!
