Concerts are common during the Christmas season. If you noticed your kid idolizing a particular band or singer, allocate some time to research about the music icon’s upcoming events. Choose one with a venue nearest your place and place a reserve for the best seat possible. This would surely mean a considerable amount of expenses especially if your kid’s favorite band or singer is really famous and in demand. Giving a new mobile phone or any other kind of trendy electronic devices nowadays is not as bad as it looks. Despite having a couple of disadvantages, it’s unquestionable that these technology devices can be very beneficial for your kids in one way or another. Kids with mobile devices can easily contact their parents at times of need. It also serves as their gateway to communicate with their peers. If you decide to give your kid a new smartphone this Christmas, make sure it is from a brand known for high-quality products and has all the features needed to play the recent games. Kids are reckless so phones that easily break after one hard fall is a big no. The only way to assure that the new smartphone you’ll give to your kid will last long is to purchase a model offered by a brand known for their durable and ingeniously designed products. I highly recommend the iPhone XR. This is the smartphone I've been using for several months now and it exceeded all my expectations. Your kid will love this phone's simplicity and it also has the build quality that can last for several years even under reckless usage. Pick the color that your kid likes and he will surely be pleased upon opening his present this coming Christmas.

A new pet dog or cat can complete your kid’s Christmas. You can also prefer other kinds of pets like fishes, turtles, and lizards but the two I previously mentioned are your best choices. A pet is a brilliant gift since your kids can have them for years and the possibilities of fun are endless. Your new family pet will grow old with them. You’ll not only have a perfect gift for Christmas but a new family member as well. These pets are also not just for play since a dog can help guard your home and protect your family from intruders while cats can chase off pests.

While taking care of their new pet, your kids will learn countless values. They’ll be more responsible and attentive about the needs of others. Having a pet is a very good way to hone your kids’ character and prepare them for the future. These facts alone made pets deserving to be among the Top 10 Best Christmas Gifts for Kids.

The Disneyland should be at the top of your list to go to with your kids.

Your kids’ Christmas will certainly become one of the most memorable moments of their life if you take them on a trip to the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland. Every one of us dreamed to be on this festive amusement park at some point in our lives. However, majority failed to experience the fun in Disneyland mainly because of the financial burden that comes with it. But then again, a trip to Disneyland is possible without overspending. You just have to be resourceful.

Look for discounted travel packages. There are countless travel and tour sites that can help you on this matter so be sure to spend some time in browsing the internet. You can also ask assistance from a travel agent. Though his services may not be free, you’ll eventually realize that having him around will not only make your trip hassle-free but less expensive as well. Christmas is about happiness and expression of love. And probably the best way to do it is by fulfilling your kids’ dream.

6. Family Picnic to share wonderful memories with your kids.

It’s not necessary to be a grandiose trip. Even a simple picnic with the whole family can complete your kids’ Christmas. Cook all the dishes your kids’ love and prepare a set of activities that will complete their day in the picnic venue. A mini-sport event involving the whole family is a brilliant idea. Divide your family into two teams and compete with one another. Baseball, basketball, and soccer are your best choices.

The day should be focused on your kids’ enjoyment. Go fishing or go on a hike with your kids while your wife prepares the whole family’s meal. Reprimand them from using their mobile phones and laptops during the event so all of their attention will be on the activities. At the end of the day, it’s not surprising to notice the bond shared among family members tighter. This is a perfect Christmas gift for kids particularly if you spend most of your time working whole year round.

5. Instant Camera for your kid photographer.

Introduce your kids to photography early with a fully-functional instant camera. With this kind of camera, your kid can take snaps of his/her daily activities or memorable family moments during vacations. It can also serve as a new hobby which can help improve your kid’s resourcefulness and creativity.

I remember back when I was just a kid that I'm really fond of looking at photos. But since we were not well off, I did not have my own instant camera to take pictures of my own. I really wished to have a camera and be able to fill up a photo album with pictures I’ve taken. If ever I’ll have kids in the near future, I won’t think twice about giving them their own camera when they’re old enough to operate one. It might be an expensive gift for kids but it's truly worthwhile knowing it can give them endless fun and opportunities in developing their potential in photography.

Just be sure to guide your kid along the way. Give him/her tips on what subjects to focus on while taking pictures. Start with simple and still shots. As your kid's skills improve, you'll be surprised about the amazing shots he/she can take.

4. Headphones for your music-loving kid.

Music is food for the soul. This is true for adults and kids. Give your kid the chance to enjoy quality music the best way possible by buying him a new headset this Christmas.

Some may not like the idea because it can take away your kid's attention and keep him isolated. No parent would want this especially during family time. But there are several ways around this problem. One way is to have a talk with your kid after he receives the new headset. Remind him that he should be responsible in using his new headset. This is not just to stop him from ignoring you but also for his safety.

By giving him a new headset, he can be reminded of your unwavering support as a parent. It will feel like you're always with him every time he wears his new headset. Music can also help him relax and bring some fun during his dull moments at school or while riding a bus.

3. Steam Wallet cash for your gamer kid.

Is your kid a DOTA 2 fan? Or does he play other Steam games during his free time? There's really no problem about playing online games as long as it does not stop him from having a social life and spending quality time with the whole family.

If he is really fond of Steam, why not give Steam wallet cash? He will surely be surprised since most parents would not be supportive on their kids playing online games. This time, move away from the stereotype and support your kid in his hobby. Just make sure to remind him to carefully manage his time while playing Steam. There are actually several benefits in playing online games on Steam. One is making new friends online. Another one is it can help him develop basic computing skills and critical thinking as he needs to make crucial decisions in order to win in online games. It can also serve as a perfect training ground for him to develop his time-management skills which he can surely use when he becomes an adult.

2. VR Headset for your Techy kid.

Virtual Reality is the future of gaming. Well, it's suppose to be that way but VR headsets are slowly getting popular today so it's almost safe to say that the future is of gaming is now. VR Headsets are quite expensive but if you really want the best for your kids, then the price won't really bother you that much. He will be the center of attention among his peers by having one. Just don't forget to remind him that owning one is a privilege. He must take care of his new VR headset and only use it when he is finished with his homework and his assigned household chores, if there are any, are all done. Playing is healthy for kids so don't take it away from them just because you want your kids to be disciplined and do well in school. You'll be amazed how a device that is supposed to distract them from their studies can help them focus more and do well in school if you as a parent handle the whole situation accordingly.

Spend some time and create wonderful memories with your kids on Christmas. It's the best gift you can give them.

In most cases, simply being there on Christmas Eve is the most special gift parent can give to their kids. This is true particularly for parents who work overseas and have been away for a couple of months or even years. Your homecoming will not only complete your kids’ Christmas but also take away their loneliness and sadness. Christmas is not about receiving fancy gifts that money can buy. It’s all about true happiness, love, and family.

To be alone in the most festive time of the year will definitely affect your kids psychologically. Make them feel loved by simply coming home and give them the hugs and kisses they’ve long desired. A friend of mine have parents who work abroad and she usually shares how sad it is to be on her own in almost every special occasion. She explains that getting used to the loneliness is almost impossible. It has been 3 years since my friend saw her parents and she said that no expensive gift can equal the happiness she will experience if ever her parents will be back home this Christmas.

Great list! We took care of #3 this year and spent the day at Disney. The lights at Disney are spectacular, with fake snow and all!

I try to find something educational and fun as well as another gift that will get them up and moving. Kids spend too much time with hand held devices and computers. Your list made me think of a football and a jersey to go with it for one. I am going to have to think about these, really great ideas! Voted up, useful and sharing! :)
