Touchdown Krispy Bars from the Super Bowl

Updated on February 2, 2020

Well. These are a super sweet treat for that sweet tooth you have been hiding.

Infused with marshmallows, caramel, chocolate and rice Krispies... Sure to get you hopping and cheering for that team that is sure to win.

Hope they get done by the time the game starts. Well. These are new skills... The caramel is sticky on the bottom. Nothing that chilling won't cure, I think!

Woohoo! Go, whomever wins the Superbowl 2020!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 box rice krispies cereal
  • 20 ounces marshmallows
  • 1/2 bottle caramel syrup
  • 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 cyp powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

I used to microwave the marshmallows, but today I decided to do the stovetop method. Since my box of cereal is enough to make two batches, I'm going to make a double batch.

The bar recipe is on the box, but I added a few things.... Like some caramel syrup, chocolate chips. Oh, and one of my bags of marshmallows were the fruity flavored version.

I melted my butter on medium heat, but lowered my heat when it was completely melted, then I put my marshmallows in and coated them with the melted butter.

After I put the marshmallows in, I dumped the syrup in. Once I stirred that around, I added the chocolate chips. Not much left to do but add it to the cereal and stir it up.
