Unforgettably unusual Mother's Day greetings and ads

Mother's Day is a very special holiday, the one day of the year we celebrate everything wonderful about that most wonderful of women who raised us and loved us no matter what.

Almost everyone respects this holiday, even advertisers, but every now and then we come across a gift or greeting idea that just doesn't seem exactly keeping in the spirit of the holiday, or at the very least somehow off. The following greeting cards and ads have been collected from various sources around the country and a few are a little dated. But they're all rather unusual to say the least and I thought you'd get a kick out of seeing them.

Ok, this card may look out of season, but hey the chic message lets Mom knows she's made the list.

Because you don't want to wait until after your execution date to tell Mom thanks.

I imagine this is a misprint, but I could be wrong.

I don't know..if I fill up on plastic there may not be room for cake.

This is Jamaica? Wow, that really is magic!

But if the bitter cold doesn't agree with your Mom you can always send her somewhere more hospitable-

Flowers are always in style..

"..and comes with XXX-Strength weed spray just in case they resurrect."

So this is what they're calling it these days!

Because the family that plays together stays together?

Is it just me or is the Gay rights issue starting to blur even the lines of written texts? Hmm..
