A Few Thanksgiving Prayers Before Meals
Thanksgiving Enough For All
Thanksgiving Blessings
Our Father who art in Heaven,
We ask you to truly bless
this food we see before us,
laid out in grandiose style,
fit for a king with a harmonious chorus,
prepared carefully and lovingly
for a long or a short while,
Bless those who took the time
to make our eyes delighted,
to make our stomachs satisfied
to make our faces smile,
Bless those who went to great detail
to make selections especially
for the oldest to the smallest,
to the youngest cradled child,
Strengthen our fellowship today God,
through this great food, love, prayer and song,
Bless each and every morsel
that enters our mouths
and touches our tongue,
Bless those who stayed up late
and cooked all night,
Bless those who stopped in a store
or a bakery to add to this delight.
Amen.

Thanksgiving Feast
Our Father who art in Heaven,
Oh merciful God this another year we see
to be together in loving harmony.
Keep it so we pray.
Bless this food we are about to eat today,
though some have plenty,
many have none,
Let us remember to share with those in need
as we can,
for they can know the comfort in not being hungry,
Bless this loving Thanksgiving feast
we are about to partake of
and
Bless all of those who contributed
their time and skills to make it so.
Amen.

God Bless You!
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for everyone
who has gathered here today.
It seems just yesterday we were all here together,
Some faces are gone,
Some are not present for one reason or another,
Let the love, strength and power
of those who are here and even absent
Empower us to accomplish great things,
Empower us to accomplish small tasks
that led to larger successful goals
so we can bloom and flourish
into the magnificent persons You want us to be Lord.
Bless this Thanksgiving meal prepared with loving hands
for our delight,
Bless the cooks,
cake, pie and dessert makers,
Bless the turkey, ham, chicken and Cornish hen roasters,
Bless the bread, biscuit and roll bakers,
Bless the table setters
as well as the clean up crew,
Turn and Bless each other
and God bless you!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Amen.
