Dropping the Ball

Happy 2019

This New years lens's job is to help you with anything for New Years preparations including a resolution (if you are into that).

I thought to include Supplies like Invitations, Flatware & glasses decor and a few choices for your party attire; kits for 10, 25 & 100 guests,

If there's anything you think of I may have forgotten, please do not hesitate to let me know in the guest book

Supplies

To start, You will need Invitations to invite friends and (or) family.

Make a list of who you definately want to make it (send theirs out first) and whoever else. There's always some friends or family who make the party more fun.

from the guest list figure out how many invitations you need (as well as supplies) Plates, napkins(figure x 3-5 per person depending on the food. If its fried, chicken or ribs definately 5 per person!) tableware & that like would be more than just one 'setting' per person (remember you need at least for the food (lunch or dinner) plus dessert.

Decorations, plus the party favors hats and noise makers & that sort, and whether its a small event or a large hall even. I have it all in one place for you.

Choose from 8 or 96 plate packs (sorry I couldn't find anything so far inbetween)

I just wish the napkin packs came in a larger size.

This kit either comes with the 'personalities' already on the hats & tiaras or is like a game you (or other guests) place stickers on each others hats to show your personality. also comes with horns

Resolutions Ideas

I'm not one to usually make resolutions but for 2013... mine is I'd think pretty simple & something I'm sure I will stick with.

I have so many books I decided that 2013 is the season of the book series! I will ONLY read the books I have in a series this year & if I have the whole series in order & nothing else till I'm through it! I may in between, read something that's not part of a series. Like a stand alone book or one I do not have the rest of the series to read.

If you don't have a resolution yet & you want an idea here are some I thought off the top of my head. Probably mostly those that people don't stick with. But whatever yourse is or you choose from this list.. I wish you best of luck!

Check out Bonnie's Blog of reolutions

Resolutions

  • Some sort of diet to lose (for a more realistic goal start at 5 pounds)
  • Quit Smoking
  • Exercise
  • Saving money

Put a $1 a day away in a bank of some sort.

(For instance a nut can, anything so you won't be able to see what's inside.)

besides this $1 a day (for each day you work) also throw in your pocket change.

DO NOT OPEN no matter what until the end of the year! (well if you want you can open it the beginning of Dec. If you want to use if for Holiday gifts, but the idea really is to treat yourself to something.)

Instead of always buying Lunch & breakfast out, stock up on stuff from the grocery lunch meats, granola bars whatever it is you like but the idea is to same money I SWEAR to you what you normally spend you will save. If you spend $50 a week on lunch out, put $25 in the can & Buy $25 worth of lunch meats, Snacks, & whatever drink to bring with you. & please be sure its in a reusable lunch bag

  • Be more Eco friendly
  • Write a page a day (in a journal of a story whatever the case may be)
  • Read at least a chapter to 3 a day
  • Be better at keeping up with the house chores
  • Get rid of at least one item (clothing or otherwise) a week (or put them all in one bin & have a yard sale)

White Elephant parties

If you didn't see those of your friends and family over the holidays that are at the New Years party why not have a white elephant party?

These are popular for 're-gifting'. Gifts that were too small for you, just don't like or maybe already have.

Some theme what type of gift to bring (maybe something Pop culture, think Comic Con)

A price limit ($20 is popular)

Popular types of gifts are Funny, Weird or nice.

While Funny may not go over well with everyone (especially if you need to give them a bank to buy a sense of Humor)

The weird ones are great conversation starters

as well as the Nice these are the ones that a fight might break out for.

If you do an office party version You might want to seriously specify which one of those 3 so everyone knows what to expect.

Here are the rules

You could even make it a white, white Elephant party where everyone has to wear White (or something White).

While you're having your party here's some games you could play use as an ice breaker or if things just get stagnant

So long to the past
