Updated on February 1, 2015

Rocky Horror Picture Show - In Theatrical Release since 1975

This film was released in 1975 and has never stopped playing since. It holds the all-time record for longest active film in theatrical history. And it's not done yet. Now in limited release, anyone can find a showing nearby, often at midnight. Since 1977, a cult of fans has repeatedly attended late night showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Many of these fans dress as their favorite character and now you can too. With the support that this movie has always received, it may persist forever.

The film has a great mix of characters with whom most anyone can identify. There is a hero, a villain, a scientist, a creature and many more. If you haven't seen the film, you really should. If the United States National Film Registry of the Library of Congress declares it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", then you deserve to see why. Maybe like so many others you'll find out that it is hilarious, spooky, though provoking and fun all at the same time!

Tim Curry is the Star!

Tim Curry was a very young man when Rocky Horror was made. He made the scientist character his own. Since then, he has gone on to have a very good acting career. He has continued to impress with his ability to perform as an actor in comedic, or dramatic, roles. He got his start even before Rocky Horror. He has had quite a career, which shows no sign of letting up.
