Scrivener [Download]

What is Scrivener? Scrivener is an amazingly useful program and tool for writers - it can serve as both a word processor AND a "project management" tool!

With Scrivener, you can create any type of document - novel, short story, research paper, script. The sky's the limit!

You can also use Scrivener as a place to collect all your research and notes, use the index card feature to re-arrange your ideas however you like

Scrivener will help you organize all your writing tools by putting them together in one application.

Here are just some of Scrivener's features:

Corkboard - Each of your documents is "attached" to a virtual index card onto which you can jot a synopsis. You can move these cards around on the corkboard, which will automatically rearrange your draft text.

Outliner - You can use Scrivener's Outliner function to view and edit both the synopses and the meta-data of your documents. Easily organize your ideas as easily as dragging and dropping.

Statistics and Targets - Scrivener maintains a live word and character count of whatever you're working for, and you can even set word or character count goals for every section.

Full-Screen - Use full-screen mode whenever you want to shut out the rest of the world and just write. Just one click on the toolbar and the writing screen fills the entirety of your desktop and all your distractions just disappear.

I still have pads of paper next to my computer--still like to use ink even though there really is no need to these days.

I like the sweatshirts. For me I still do old fashioned writing and note taking using pen and paper. I run out of pens all the time, so a stack of gel pens would work for me. Merry Christmas.

I haven't been writing as much as I used to. I miss writing fiction. I'll get back to it eventually. I have a Kindle and would love to get a gift certificate for downloadable books.

      Have a nice Christmas!
