Easter Picture Perfect - Through the Years

Updated on November 15, 2014

This lens contains selected family photos around Easter covering nearly 60 years

Each of the Easter related photos in this lens were taken by me or on my camera if I'm in the photo. They are a small selection to tell the story through the years - in response to the Picture Perfect IMMINENT Quest.

This photo shows one set of Easter Baskets our girls had that year. What kind of Easter Baskets do you prefer?

I hope you enjoy this photo trip down memory lane with me and my family.

Going to Rural Church on Easter Sunday in 1954

My Mom and Dad and I with two brothers - a third took the photo - headed off to our rural Star Methodist Church in west central Iowa as we did every year of my youth.

I am holding my youngest brother, at the time. Another arrived a couple of years later to make we five boys.

This is our oldest daughter in her Sunday Easter finest with little Easter gifts.

Just had to include this one... holds some special personal memories.

Wife and daughters early Easter morn

This is my wife and three daughters on Easter 1970 - before church, of course, but after the Easter Candy had been picked up around the house.

I spared you the several dozen similar photos of many other years.

The youngest daughter in the photo is the mother of our grand-daughter and grandson seen in photos following.

Grandson Alex hunting Easter eggs around our cabin

Here is young Alex, our grandson, hunting for plastic Easter Eggs, with goodies inside, around our cabin here in Missouri a few years ago.

This was the first time I'd ever actually used the plastic eggs, outside...

... but, he seemed to really enjoy the hunt, anyway. He loved the bright colors! ;-)

Our grand-daughter, Kaylee, a few years ago, wearing her Easter Bunny ears.

Is she cute, or what??

More memories coming up, in a couple of weeks! ;-)
