If you're a Ferrari fan and I certainly am, you probably think how wonderful it would be to buy a brand new model for your other half.

Well, I don't know about you but I can't really imagine a brand new Ferrari being in our driveway any time soon. (But wouldn't that be nice?)

But that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the style. I love watching Formula One and if anyone asks me my favorite team, guess what I say? Yep, you're right.

I've got a few items around my house because they keep me going during that long off-season when F1 takes a break in the winter. Somehow life is just that little bit better when there's a race on the horizon.

Do all those ex-Ferrari drivers have a secret stash of these fragrances from their famous Ferrari days? I imagine so, it was probably yet another perk of the job - as well as the luxury road car, of course.

And it's great to think that even if we can't be racing on the circuit at Monaco, or driving our own Ferrari around Maranello at least we can smell as if we do.

Now there's a great start in life for a budding racing driver.

This wonderful marque has so much fascinating history. Formula One teams come and go but this manufacturer's name is almost a legend in the sport. So are the road cars, of course.

There have been some beautiful books written, mostly with wonderful photographs, about these legendary cars and below you'll see the ones I picked out as being particularly special.

Both these books sell like hot cakes and are fast becoming collector's items. The history of the Ferrari - both the road cars and the Formula One team will continue to fascinate.
