Fog cannot spoil the joy of republic day celebrations – Jai Hind
Today is January 26, 2010 and this is the day which Indians celebrate as a Republic Day. When I woke in the morning at 9 o’clock just an hour before writing out this article, I found that there was a lot of fog all over the roads and sky. Not only cars were moving slowly and steadily with their fog lights on but even birds were finding it hard to fly high and were flying very low just in front of my eyes when I stood up in the balcony of my house. Then I opened up my laptop and googled for words “fog and republic day” and I was not surprised to find news articles stating that “fog may spoil the joy of Republic Day celebrations” and “fog may delay R-Day parade but at the same time I opened up a news channel on my TV which was showing live Republic Day parade and I was happy that “all izz well”. I want to become Aamir Khan I think sometimes.
Actually, the Indian Republic Day celebrations started on time. Though there was some initial delay in some prominent people including ministers and governors reaching the parade ground at time., but then also the Republic Day Celebrations began with great pomp and show as it used to be all the time and not only me and my family but many of my neighbors were also happy to see this and we all said in one voice, “fog cannot spoil the joy of republic day celebrations and spirit of Indians”. Jai Hind.
Will Indian Air Force Helicopters will be able to waive the Tri-color over Rajpath on R-Day or not
Today is the 61st Republic Day of India but then also our met department is giving wrong news as it has always used to be. I don’t know what’s the problem with our met department’s system. It’s fog all over and then also met department is forecasting that the weather will be clear and there will be warm and sunny Republic Day.
Scrolling other news headlines on the web, I found that this is the worst fog that has hit Delhi in last 7 years, so there needs to be a lot of concern over this. Other news headlines say that Bolywood celebrities were looking forward to Republic Day celebrations and many of them are there right now, even some of them including Salman Khan is participating in R-Day celebrations.
Okay, now it’s time to go and watch my TV as I can hear the voice of my favorite and respectful national anthem, “Jana Gana Mana” which I had been singing since I came into consciousness. I also don’t want to miss this great parade which will display India’s military strength, cultural heritage, and development of India despite recession and economic downturn. The most important thing is to see how and what is the way in which police and military offers will be rewarded and how they gave their lives for protecting our India from enemies and terrorists so best of luck to all of you for watching the R-Day parade and celebrations. Jai Hind. Cheers for wealth and health of India
