What is your memorable trick-or-treating experience?
Each one of you must have trick-or-treat experiences when you were young kids. Please share your memorable experience and what lessons you have learned from those experiences.
My most memorable experience was that the year I was a butterfly, complete with thin clothing and wings that couldn't be covered with a jacket-it snowed. It taught me to have a backup plan with my costume.
Mine was not when I was dressed up but when I had made costumes for my kids.
They were both young and I had made cloud costumes. They were so different that several of the doors we went to the people said, "Oh they are so cute, let me get my camera." I was flattered but my kids weren't able to go to many doors and hence received less candy.
I think people get tired of seeing store bought costumes. I always tried to make the effort and make my own.
