Does your country have any special Easter Traditions and what do you do to commemorate it?
Easter is celebrated around the globe but I do know that each culture differs and maybe the way Easter is celebrated is different too. It would be nice to know about the different Easter cultures and commemorations or celebrations.
Not sure about others but my fond remembrance of Easter is going to church with my grandmother and cousins. Then after church Granny would have all the eggs boiled and ready for hiding. All painted and decorated with a multitude of colors. Some colored perfectly and some not so much, almost resembling tie-dye. But it didn't matter. All of the girls would have on their cute little dresses with their frilly little Easter baskets all decorated with ribbons and lace. That was for the picture taking. But then we'd go inside and quickly change while all the grown ups hid the eggs.
Then all of us grandkids would sit inside bubbling with excitement ready for the Easter egg hunt to begin. There was always a cousin trying to peek outside to see where the eggs were being placed. But there was always an older cousin to watch us to keep us in our place so we wouldn't peek. Aaaah I remember those days. Thanks for stirring up the nostalgia. :-)
