A surprise dinner with a bunch of flowers, and tell her how she meant to you if she is a close relative of yours. If not a very close person, a box of chocolate with a Bouquet of flowers. (Hope she is not a Diabetic patient.)

It depends on the woman.  What are her hobbies, gardening?  Photography?  Look at her life and find out what you can add to it to make her smile.  Dinner, flowers, items for her hobbies.  Really she will enjoy much the same things as she did she when she was 30 or 40.

A fun gift is a retro box of old fashioned candy, it brings back fun memories!   For a fifty year old it would be candies such as Fireballs, Pop Rocks, Chick-O-Sticks, BB Bat taffies, Bazooka Gum, Ring Pops, Razzles, Bottle Caps, Zotz, Charms, Pixie Sticks.  I just did a hub about this and just thinking about the different candies brought a smile to my face!
