How might you go about stopping someone from buying you a christmas present without offending them?
And how have you yourself gone about not buing a present for someone you were formerly in the habit of buying a gift for. I'm referring to people you are still on good terms with but for one reason or another you would like to stop exchanging gifts.
If it's because of money, I just straight-up tell people that I'm broke. If they don't understand and get mad, that still won't put any money in my pocket, lol.
I would be honest no matter what. Some people feel sad about the holidays because they've just become a bank account-draining tradition and I think it's fine to feel that way.
