   I humbly apologize for not posting this earlier in the day, though my intent was to.
   
   
   
   My hat is off and placed on my heart for all those Vets not with us today, a nod to those who are Vets and walking amongst us, and to those who are serving and will serve that will become one. Even though my family can trace back to the Revolutionary War, I was honored to know my Grandfather who was at the Battle of the Argonne Forest suffering mustard gas during WWI. My uncles fought during WWII for the air corps and army. My dad is a member of the Chosin Few from the Korean conflict with the Marine Corps. He spent time at Da Nang during Viet Nam as well.
   
   I have one may say the privilege of living in San Diego County, California home to the Pacific Fleet of the Navy and Camp Pendleton home to the I Marine Expeditionary Force. You are destined to run into a vet almost any day. Here in Escondido where I live the city celebrated Veterans Day with a parade and had after events too. Fortunately it wasn't far and I got to see some of it. Impressive and brings a lump to the throat with thoughts.
