Fun and Funny Halloween: Must I do this?

Updated on February 2, 2015

Halloween is sometimes fun, sometimes funny, and sometimes: What am I doing here? Your thoughts?

I really appreciated the opportunity to write about Fun and Funny Halloween... I'm not much into scary and creepy - though I managed to do a lens on Black Cats. I've had this photo of my grandson and his Dad, from a few years ago, that I really wanted to use. These seemed an appropriate times. I think he liked the idea of getting into his superman costume, but going out and walking in the neighborhood seems to give him pause: What did you say we are going to do??? ;-)

Let's see what else we can find about Halloween that is fun and/or funny! ;-)

Do you have a preference for observing Halloween? - Your comments are appreciated

Do you prefer fun or funny or scary and creepy for Halloween?

Halloween has been celebrated a long time.

Fun activities on Halloween

Apple-bobbing as a fun Halloween party activity goes back at least into the early nineteenth century, probably earlier. I chose to use this 1915 painting, "Halloween," to share with you. Doesn't it look like they are having a 'fun time' at this Halloween party? Love the 'costumes,' as well! ;-)

Fun Food makes Halloween Special

This photo from my family collection shows our family having Corn Dogs for a Halloween meal - Thanks, Sonic!

However, I also see a Papa John's Pizza box in the background - 'telling stories out of school' - what fun!

What fun or funny food do you like to have to 'celebrate' Halloween at your house?

Your Fun Comments on this Fun Halloween lens are appreciated!

Love your lens! Halloween is a fun time of year for me and my family! My grand-daughters love to dress up, but they never really do scary, usually cartoon characters.

Had lots of fun on Halloween. Took my 2 year old grandson trick or treating, and had a blast watching him have a blast.

We make different Halloween food every year: mummy pizzas, mummy meatloaf, veggie graveyard, etc. Creepy food is fun.

I like the donut on a string game! You tie strings onto a clothes line and tie donuts to the ends of the strings. Participants have to stand facing the donuts with their hands tied behind their backs and try to take a bite out of the donuts. It's funny to watch and easy to set up! Enjoyed your ideas and your pictures, thanks.
