Funny Halloween Party Invites

Updated on October 21, 2014

Planning A Fun Costume Party This October 31st??

Will funny Halloween invites from Swisstoons result in more acceptances to your big All Hallows Eve bash than blah ones? Your best friends will probably show up no matter what. But what about the fence-sitters? A party invite sets the tone for what's to come, doesn't it? An invitation that leaves potential guests smiling or saying, "Hmmmmmm...." is a whole lot better than one that gets tossed in a desk drawer with a "We'll see..." Humorous party invitations set the tone for the fun to come.

Theme parties are always good for capturing the imagination of invitees. Costume parties are standard, of course, and if it's an adult party, booze is pretty standard, too. An oldtime 1950s Rock 'n' Roll party can be pretty cool, complete with bobby socks and poodle skirts for the gals and DA haircuts with lots of grease and skinny ties for the guys. Halloween horror movie parties are another possibility...and they're a lot less fuss.

With all that in mind, if you're planning a fun bash on the scariest night of the year, best to start with cute funny invitations! There are lots to choose from, featuring funny jack-o-lanterns, scary skulls, funny witches or cute cartoon ghosts. But here are a few of my favorites.

If you decide on a horror movie theme, do check out the the classic horror movies from Amazon for sale below. What a great way to spend All Hallows Eve with family and friends! These include the original Frankenstein, starring Boris Karloff and the the original Mummy movies, also starring Karloff.

There's a poll question near the bottom, too. And I welcome your comments, as well.
And if you enjoy this page, please feel free to share it via the buttons at right. Thank you for stopping by!

Jack-O-Lanterns Funny Halloween Party Invite

For Adult Parties At Which Alcohol Is Served

Bright orange, cute funny halloween pumpkins, or jack-o-lanterns, grinning under a bright quarter moon, promise a great time at an adult fun party at which alcohol will be served. You'll see why when you read the punchline which is on the back. Matching postage is available to mail them off. To see these up close and perhaps order a set, please click on the highlighted blue text in the opening paragraph at the top of the page.

Funny Halloween Theme Party Invitations

Theme parties are more popular than ever on Halloween. Encourage guests to dress up as specific All Hallows Eve prototypes such as mummies or skeletons, witches or black cats, by giving prizes for the best costume in those categories. To that end, here are some cute funny invites along those lines.

Scary Skull Halloween Invite

Scary Skull Stamps

Scary skull looks frightening, but there's a punchline on the other side of this funny invite. And don't forget to check out the matching scary skull stamps, too! You can even find him on a scrapbook binder, perfect for storing all the photos you'll take on this scariest night of the year. You can get a closer look at both when you click on the highlighted blue text in the opening paragraph at the top of this page.

Classic Horror Movies - Karloff, Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Jr. & More

Treat your kids to the classic horror movies that you grew up with! Feast your eyes (and theirs) on these classics! Scare 'em silly this Halloween the way you and your parents and grandparents were scared--with Frankenstein...Dracula...The Mummy...The Wolfman...King Kong...and much more! Most of these DVD sets contain sequels as well as the original movies from the 1930s and 1940s, starring the actors whose names became forever linked with the roles they played; Karloff...Lugosi...Lon Chaney, Jr. Wonderful stuff! Gather your kids and their friends around and pop in the DVDs. Scare 'em silly--while keeping 'em safely off the street! Ever heard of a surprise All Hallow's Eve party? Plan one today!

Most Popular Halloween Party Invites

These are some of the most popular Halloween party invites available at Zazzle. Various themes are represented, including skeltons, witches, ghosts, and mummies One of my personal favorites is the dancing skeleton who is "Bone To Be Wild," is perfect if your bash will be celebrating not only All Hallows Eve, but also Rock 'n' Roll! The phrase on this cool and clever invite which should appeal especailly to rockers and baby boomers puns the title of the old Steppenwof classic, "Born To Be Wild" There's another, also featuring musically-inclined bones which might appeal to Country & Western aficionados. Check those cool 10-gallon hats and guitars! Another favorite features funny black cat perched right in the middle of the trick-or-treat candy bowl who doesn't look like he's inclined to move no matter who comes to your party. If you're an ailurophile (that's a cat lover) with a favorite feline, especially a black one, you won't find a more appropriate invitation for your party than this one. I think Halloween is definitely for the whole family - who doesn't like to have fun and eat good holiday food (especially candy!).
