Halloween Fall Farm Events in Rochester, New York

Updated on September 12, 2012

For Halloween This Year, I'm Going To Be....

...Hitting up the Halloween Hay Rides, Corn Mazes, sippin' Cider and eating Kettle Corn on the Wagon Rides, and picking Pumpkins on the farms around Rochester, NY.

I might even take a grandchild or two.

When you tell someone you live in New York, some people believe you live in New York City, but there is actually farm land on all sides of the city limits of Rochester, New York, and much of the entire state of New York.

I live in Henrietta, just south of Rochester, and there are at least 3 farms stands in a 1/4 to 1/2 mile radius, and farm land on all sides within a 1 mile area or less from my home.

There are many farms in the greater Rochester, New York area that participate in Fall Harvest and Halloween Events and Activities to get us all in on the fun and share in the blessing of a bountiful autumn harvest.

So join me on a Fall Halloween Tour, and see why I'm nuts about the Greater Rochester area in upstate (meaning not NYC) New York. :D

Long Acre Farms - Macedon, New York

Long Acre Farms, Macedon, NY

Long Acre Farms is actually outside the Greater Rochester area, but I've been there and it's fabulous. The Maize (Corn) Maze takes about 75 minutes to navigate through. This is also the first place I've had Kettle Corn. If you haven't had it freshly farm-made on a cool fall day the store bought kind is a close enough second. :D The farm market also features homemade fudge and pies and handcrafted items.

Daily Fall activities, and special weekend activities with admission.

BONUSES: Homemade Ice Cream is served and JD Wine Cellars is also part of Long Acre Farms. :D

As someone who grew up and spent the first 40-some years of my life in and around Rochester, and in fact, am a graduate of Rush-Henrietta Schools, I rather enjoyed fall in the area. Always much to do, lots of good folks around to enjoy things with and nice fall weather., well, unless it was one of those rainy years when snow fell before Halloween! Thanks for the memories!

I live in a rural area myself, but not all of us celebrate Halloween with farm festivals. The ones that do are so much fun for the whole family. You are lucky to have so many near to you. These all look great!
