Halloween Haiku

Updated on October 27, 2014

Halloween Haiku Contest

Haiku is lyric poetry, a Japanese lyric verse form having three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Haiku traditionally invokes an aspect of nature or the seasons. If you are not familiar with Haiku, check out my Haiku Page for examples of Haiku, some history of Haiku and info about famous Haiku poets. I hope you enjoy reading about Haiku and that you will post your own Halloween Haiku in the comments on this page!
