I'm a lover of desserts, as can be evidenced by my Dessert Shooter articles. So, making heart shaped cupcakes for Valentine's day just seems like it's the right thing to do for Valentine's day.
There are many items available on the market to help you create your own heart shaped desserts. And, make sure that you take your Valentine's preference in mind when you create the flavors of your cupcakes.

1. Red sprinkles. Make a heart template and place in the middle of the cupcake. Sprinkle the red sugar around it so you'll have a white heart in the middle!
2. Red hot cinnamon candies - place these on the top of your cupcake in the shape of a heart.
3. His or her name in red icing surrounded by small red icing hearts
4. Top the cupcakes with conversation hearts
5. Buy Ghiradelli heart shaped dark chocolates - they're delicious.
Set your Valentine's Day cupcakes out on a pretty red and white platter and you're good to go.

I know that Valentine's Day is mostly a commercial holiday which is why I like to cook John a great dinner or just spend some time with him.
