Who is Lorne?

A quick, short biography...

Lorne, also known as "The Host", is a fictional character from the television series "Angel". "Angel" is a spin-off of the very popular "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". His character was introduced to the show at the beginning of season 2. Lorne is a good demon from the world of Pylea. He came to earth through a portal and stayed because of the music. His species is supposed to hate music, but Lorne loves it, so he stayed on Earth. He sings all the time throughout the show. He later joins Angel Investigations to help the helpless.

Lorne Tribute Video

Before we get to the clothes lets take a look at a fan-made tribute video to Lorne to familiarize ourselves with him. As you can tell from the video, he is always dressed in suits with a lot of color and fun. Notice his fun and easy-going personality!

Clothes - Suit, shirt, scarf, shoes

Lorne often wears very bright colored suits, but he also wears white/tan and adds bright colors under them. White suits are easier to find than colorful ones, so unless you have one already or know where you can get one - then white or tan will work. As long as you look high-class and have his face then people will know. Mix and match. Get funky if you like. Sometimes he is seen wearing a simple suit with a colorful button down shirt underneath and a scarf tucked under the shirt.

Here is a link to help you with tying your scarf.

And for good measure I added an Elvis suit that looks like something Lorne would wear while he is performing in Vegas.

Hair and Makeup

Here are the main things you will need to get Lorne's face.

Among this stuff you will also need:

- red lipstick for lips.

- reddish color to line eyes

- reddish/brown shadow for upper eyelids.

Now that I think of it...why hasn't someone made a Lorne makeup tutorial on Youtube yet? Someone get on that! :)

Accessories

Not must haves, but they will add to your overall look. Two good options are a microphone or a martini glass. He owned a bar where demons could sing songs while he read their future. He sang all the time and always had some kind of drink in his hand. He was very Las Vegas like.
