Are you ready for my Christmas quiz?

Everyone loves Christmas but do you know the why and wherefore of why it is there for? Were you aware that most of the many Christmas traditions we often take for granted had a spiritual meaning and a purpose? Do you know what they are?

Test your Christmas knowledge, your yuletide mettle, your holiday trivia (not trivial) pursuit, and your multiple choice skills. See if you cut the eggnog, crumble the cookie, light up the tree and all that good Christmas stuff! Take my Christmas quiz is what Im saying! (Do you dare?) But you may want to bone up first by visiting my other hub on the meaning of Christmas (below), as answers to 9 of the 10 questions can be found there either explicitly or through links to other Christmas hubs. OR go ahead and try the quiz and if you don't do well, check out said hub and /or any other resource you may find. Then you may want to try the quiz again. However you choose to do it, good luck, and have fun.

Great lens! I didn't realize that Christmas was shortened to Xmas by Christians attempting to keep Christ in Christmas based on the Greek letter "X". I guess I missed that in your previous lens. I always thought that is was just a shortened version in attempt to take Christ out of Christmas.

Interesting, except that I have heard multiple candy makers, including a rep from a company that makes candy canes, say that the candy cane actually has nothing to do with Jesus or Christmas at all. They said that tale was created long after the candy cane was created when a candy maker hung some warm candy sticks over a rope (or pole, I don't remember) to cool, producing the hook shape.

I didn't do very well at all. I have the Christmas spirit anyway. This lens has been blessed.

Ihadno idea Xmas was still a christian theme. Seems to me that writing Xmas gets some peoples bent out of shape because of the removal of the word Christ. Very interesting quiz.
