#10 Song - Somebody's Watching Me - Rockwell ft. Michael Jackson

I've done my share of hooks for folks that took all of the credit, so it pains me to have to place this at #10. Maybe it is punishment for Rockwell, maybe it is vindication for Michael by letting him bookend my Top 10 Halloween Songs countdown (SPOILER ALERT). Maybe it's just because it is a bad-ass song that belongs on this awesome Top 10. Maybe, it's because it is only 69 cents... Or, maybe, just maybe, somebody's watching me, and they're making me do it.

#9 Song - The Purple People Eater - Sheb Wooley

#9. #9. #9. Nein, nein, nein, NEIN! At #9 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list is "The Purple People Eater" by Sheb Wooley. Never seen a purple person, but I'm not saying that I wouldn't give one a taste! That's EXOTIC!

#8 Song - Theme From Friday The 13th - Orlando Pops Orchestra & Andrew Lane

Do you remember watching this moving and not being able to sleep? One, two, Freddy's coming for you. Three, four, better lock your door. Five, six, better get your crucifix. Seven, eight, better stay up, oh wait. Yeah, at #8 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list is the Theme From Friday The 13th. Sleep with one eye open.

9, 10, I'm confused again... Yep, so this was actually Jason Voorhees... I did a LOT of recording in Voorhees, NJ, so that makes me a pro, right? Let's just pretend that the Freddy reference makes sense and we'll call it a day, deal? After all, I AM a PRO! ;)

P.S. I think I KNOW Andrew Lane... Weird.

#7 Song - Time Warp (Extended Version) - Patricia Quinn, Richard O'Brien, Little Nell

I'm not one for shadow-casting, personally, but I can't act like Time Warp doesn't belong at #7 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list. I included the "Extended Version", for your pleasure.

#6 Song - Tubular Bells (Theme From The Exorcist) - London Bells

Now, this movie creeped me out... BIG TIME... This song ALSO creeped me out. Now, it kinda makes me wanna watch Doogie Howser, M.D. for some reason, not sure why. In any case, Tubular Bells comes in at #6 on the Top 10 Halloween Song list.

#5 Song - This Is Halloween - "Pumpkin Jack" aka Danny Elfman

We're gonna dial it back a bit for #5 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list, you'll remember this from "The Nightmare Before Christmas", I'm sure! After all, this IS Halloween!

#4 Song - Halloween Theme - John Carpenter

It's time for a bone-chilling entry. John Carpenter is the KING of horror and the CAPTAIN of my childhood nightmares. For this, John Carpenter, we salute you with a placement at #4 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list.

#3 Song - Ghostbusters - Ray Parker Jr.

At #3 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list is "Ghostbusters", by one of my faves, Ray Parker Jr... Who you gonna call?

#2 Song - Monster Mash - Bobby "Boris" Pickett

Coming in at #2 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list is "Monster Mash", by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. It's a fun little ditty... Come on, you know you love it.

#1 Song - Thriller - Michael Jackson

You can't argue with #1 on the Top 10 Halloween Songs list. Michael Jackson is the undisputed King of Pop. In "Thriller," even Vincent Price lends his talents. If you think anything else belongs here, you can "Beat It."
