Unique Gifts for Star Trek Fans
Gifts Any Star Trek Fan Will Love
In 1966 two things were born.
One was a television series that would become one of the most well known science fiction series ever.
The other was the man who I would later ask me to marry him.
However, I was not his first love. No, his first love was that Sci-fi series, Star Trek.
Yes, its true. I married a Trekkie!
On one hand it is very annoying, because I know I'll be watching at least one episode of Star Trek every day for the rest of my life. But on the other hand it comes in handy, because I always know the perfect gift to get him. That gift would be anything with Captain Kirk or Mr. Spock on it that he doesn't already have.
What I've shared below are a few of the more unique items I've found over the years while searching for a gift for my the Trekkie I married.
Star Trek Ugly Christmas Sweater
And here we have, featured special for the Christmas holiday, a Star Trek Kirk, Spock, Bones "Ugly Christmas Sweater" style sweatshirt
When looking for something unique for your Star Trek loving friend, or even for your Star Trek loving self, you will be hard pressed to find something much more unique than this sweatshirt.
You will be the envy of any holiday office parties, and you are sure to win every Ugly Sweater award just as soon as you walk into the room.
I can vouch for it being a hit because my Star Trek loving husband said, "I NEED that shirt!" just as soon as I showed it to him.
Swoosh!
Just picture the following item in the entryway of a Star Trek fan's home. Or at the very least in the entry of a Trekkies man cave.
This doorway sensor announces a visitors presence with the classic SWOOSH of the doors sliding open on the original Star Trek series. OR, if you're feeling threatened or just anti-social you can set it to alarm with the RED ALERT mode on.
Either way this doorway sensor is almost the single most unique Star Trek item I found that you could give someone as a gift.
This motion-sensitive door chime is modeled after the communicator panels on The Original Series
Mount it next to your door (on whatever side you choose) and when someone crosses the threshold, the chime will sound.
It can chime with the door opening sound effect or the Red Alert alarm.
Star Trek Kitchen Gear
The heart of a home is the Kitchen, or so they say.
So if you know a Star Trek fan without any Enterprise kitchen utensils, then you should change that right now!
The universe is vast, and the Star Trek kitchen gear could fill up every corner of it. Mugs and coasters, salt and pepper shakers, bottle openers and even pizza slicers! Any good Trekkie would want them ALL!
Here are a few, just to get you started.
Kirk and Spock Really Know How to Shake It Up!
Star Trek Clothes
While the world is full of Star Trek t-shirts, there is more to the world of Trekkie apparal than that.
Socks for one.
While I roam my home in bare feet, my husband ALWAYS has socks on. So some Star Trek socks seem to be a perfect gift.
Or robes. He has a ratty tatty old blue robe that is probably older than I am. As a Trekkie, I know he would LOVE a Captain Kirk or Mr. Spock robe to replace it.
Spock Socks, and More
Slippers
Tribbles, you either love them or you hate them. Or, if you are a Klingon you REALLY hate them.
A take off of the classic bunny slippers, you can wear a Tribble on your feet to keep your toes nice and warm.
As an added bonus they even purr like a real Tribble!
Robes
Crafts and DIY
While I married a Trekkie, and I am a fan of Star Trek, I don't cross the threshold into Trekkie territory. I can take it or leave it. And after being exposed to it so much throughout my marriage I mostly leave it at this point.
I am, however, a HUGE fan of crafts and DIY.
After seeing these books on Amazon I feel driven to make an "Expendable" red-shirt cross stitch.
Oh, and a Star Trek insignia on a canvas to "Boldy Go" in my husbands man cave is another great craft idea.
You don't have to be a Trekkie to love some of the amazing craft ideas in these books.
After all, who wouldn't want a Spock sock monkey?
