How To Make A Waldo Halloween Costume

Updated on April 17, 2017

Who In The World Is Waldo And What's A Waldo Costume?

Why wear a Waldo costume? Waldo is a world traveler introduced to us by a series of books written by Martin Handford. Wally is the name he is known by in Britain, but in the U.S., we know him as Waldo. This character travels the land, through time, and he even travels to magical places. The one thing that remains the same with Waldo is his iconic outfit. He wears blue jeans, a red and white striped sweater, brown boots, a red and white bobble hat, and his black glasses. He comes from a place called the Land of Waldos. We have to look at pictures and find Waldo in a crowded scene in this fun book series. Can you spot him? He is hiding in plain sight, but it's not that easy to find him.

You have to concentrate to find him, he's hidden in between other people and objects in these crowded pictures. It's fun to search and seek him out, and to dress up like him at Halloween. If you are looking for a group costume, this is a great theme. You and your friends can dress up like Waldo and the other characters in his books. For the ladies, there's the Wanda costume idea. There's even a costume idea for your dog inspired by Waldo/Wally's dog, Woof. Find more about those outfits by scrolling down the page.
