Top 10 PS2 Games of All Time

Intro:

The following hb celebrates one of the best video game consoles ever created, Sony's Playstation 2. The system was launched in 2001 in the US, and became the winner of the console war, and included some of the best games that have ever been created.

Luckily, this system's success became legendary, and Sony continued to sell the system even after the launch of the Playstation 3 (the Playstation 2 successor).

The following are the top 10 PS2 games that I would reccomend you purchase over every other games for the console.

1. God of War

God of War is a single-player action-adventure PS2 game, released in 2005 in North America. GoW is often praised for its great game quality and its outstanding quality. IGN named God of War its "Game of The Year" of the year 2005.

2. Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 for the PS2 is a single-player survival horror third person shooter game. It was originally released for the Nintendo Gamecube as an exclusive, but due to its great success, it was later released to for PS2 in late 2005. This game earned dozens of great awards from various reviews.

3. Metal Gear Solid 3

Metal Gear Solid 3 is a single-player stealth-action game. MGS3 was released for the PS2 late 2004. MGS3 was named as 2004's best PS2 game of the year by IGN, and has sold over 4 million copies since launch.

4. Shadow of The Colossus

Shadow of The Colossus is a single-player action-adventure game for the PS2. SoC was also described as a puzzle game since you'll need to figure out how each of the several bosses is defeated by figuring out its weak point. It has earned many awards for its quality and its amazing sound track.

5. Final Fantasy X

Final Fantasy X is an action-RPG game, and was released to the PS2 in late 2001. Square Enix's 10th installment of the very successful Final Fantasy series, and this one stands out as being one of the best of the bunch, and it is definitly the best of the bunch that were released on the PS2. In 2003 Final Fantasy X became the first Final Fantasy game to have a sequel as Square Enix released Final Fantasy X-2. FFX was named "Game of The Year" in 2001-02 from CSEA's game awards.

6. God of War 2

God of War 2 is the sequel to the previously mentioned God of War, and it is a true successor to the game. GoW2 was released in 2007, and it improve on the gameplay and the graphics of the original God of War game. God of War 2 was named Golden Joystick's "Game of The Year" in 2007.

7. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a multi-player action-adventure sandbox game, released in 2004 for the PS2. Spike TV named GTA:SA its 2004 "Game of The Year".

8. Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts is a single-player action-RPG game, released by Square Enix and Disney in 2002. Kingdom Hearts was known for its great audio tracks provided by Utada, and it stands out form all other RPG's by having both Final Fantasy characters along with Disney characters like Donald Duck, and Mickey Mouse.

9. Metal Gear Solid 2

Metal Gear Solid 2 is a single-player stealth-action game released in 2003. MGS2 earned the award for "Game of The Year" from Game Informer.

10. Jak and Daxter

Jak and Daxter is a single-player platformer for the PS2, and was released in 2001. Jak and Daxter started a long franchise of games that included various games on the PS2 and the PSP (Playstation Portable). Jak and Daxter is a wonderful, and simple adventure game that's great for anyone, it's the Mario of the PS2.
