Poems-Angels- watching over me

Updated on April 18, 2020

Angels watching over me

Hit --- with a ton of bricks

I felt each one pierce through me

I cannot explain it...

A silly reaction-- to some kind of emotion...

The kind of emotion I never even knew I had...

Until it hit me—suddenly--

Like a ton of bricks--hitting me

Over and over

Truly feeling each brick

One at a time

Each one hurting-- more than the last

Afraid to walk away from the line of fire

I cannot explain it

Like something---from my childhood

I just never got past....

Weeping--with my eyes wide open

Through the sadness and emotional pain

I know in my heart

This feeling

Will someday be -- something gained

I just got hit with a ton of bricks

Never thought it would hurt so bad

So many thoughts and emotions

More than I ever knew I had

I felt each brick pierce through me

Took in every ounce of pain

I know from this situation

More wisdom I will gain

I cried a little while

The news was unexpected

I could not find a simple smile

Somehow, I felt rejected.

I know someday I will see

my angels watching over me.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting---sometimes the little things are more overwhelming than the big things-but whenever things seem out of control-I hear that little angel wispering in my ear-Everything is going to be just fine...

Can't? This word should be against the law to say. Angels and God will keep us all together forever.

Thank You september girl---2011 a year of focusing on who and where im at in my life- Sometimes when we have a constant "negative" in our lives we start to think that way---and it is a horrible way to think I can't have something like a dream or a vision or a better future...just because someone else says i can't---what was i thinking? Emotionaly draining--- so i have been looking to the angels for answers-- and it seems like they are really touching me and guiding me into a more positive light---it may sound crazy..but i am more aware of things going on around me...and understanding that everything really does happen for a reason---I just don't always need to figure out why--as long as.. I know I am in good hands--I have angels watching over me-as does everyone else

Wow, very emotional and moving piece of poetry. I can relate somewhat to it, when things have come out of nowhere to knock me down. Then as lightly as a feather, something or someone somewhere, picks me up again despite the pain, the misery and the tears, to help me on my way. Voted up and awesome! : )
