~~~ Demure ~~~
Updated on August 5, 2019
~ Demure ~
Apple mists bear winter’s blow,
Chic windswept fringe, whorled moue, aglow;
Thy pixie queen in princess clothes,
Swathed innocence, of my Tudor rose.
Lush coronet, of garland grace,
Bestows enobled, auric face;
Braided leaves crest brow, nix sorrel,
Wreathed Goldilocks, dons chaplet laurel.
Cupid’s revenant faerie sprite,
Accompany thee through rebel night;
Charred moonlit boughs of silvery birch,
Reign down, afore thine hallowed church.
Toffee lips of pyrrhous red,
Hushed doors bond words of love unsaid;
Yoicks, caesious eyne sheaths heart, enfolding,
Enthrones guised sanctuary of thy beholding.
THE END
      Thanks for dropping by again M.T. and glad you enjoyed this short piece. I've penned hundreds of poems, mainly for publication elsewhere though. Enjoy your day man! Peace out.
      @foemeno ( Karl ),
      Lol! I don't intend losing any more brain cells than I have to, as you put it; thanks for the compliment, but I think I wouldn't ' fit in ' with the clones and drones, but a nice idea.
      Take it easy,
      Amazing quill, simply amazing, i would have to look up most of these words but I do believe that if you lost a few brain cells you would be on the cover of Rolling Stones for the greatest lyricist in history man. I don't follow the comments but I will make more later its cigarette and break time.
      Your friend,
      So happy to hear you're on the up and up dear Faith, and thank you, as always, for stopping by for a read - very much appreciated.
      Yes, beauty is fleeting, but it commands so much of a man's life, seemingly out of all proportion to many other qualities, and happenings going on in his existence, yet there is seldom regret for having beheld it, even if only for a minute. Beauty of the heart......now therein lies a treasure beyond all, and enjoy reading your Hub which embraced such issue.
      Thank you for your amazing remarks, and delicious sentiments, and look forward to more of your thoughtful poetic verse which the future may be holding for you.
      With Warm Regards,
      R.Q.
      Thank you so much dear Romeos for your concern. I am back with the living this day!
      Yes, when God created woman with all her charms ... I am sure it is so very difficult for a man to keep his composure about him when one so beautiful walks right in his path. We must be mindful that charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting and true beauty is found in the heart, and from out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, which is a subject I am about to address when I publish ... on this very issue.
      Have a lovely evening with your visions of loveliness continuing to dance in your head as you sleep.
      Hugs,
      Faith Reaper
      Dear Sparklea,
      What a pleasure it is to see your wonderfully smiling face here this evening - your lovely face seems to breathe a magnetic, honest integrity wrapped in a simple joy, which is very refreshing.
      So pleased that you enjoyed this write, as it is always difficult to offer something which everyone might enjoy, but it is enough if even one fabulous virtual resident at HP likes part of what is on offer.
      Certainly hope that you and your family are well this eve, and that you have some good news in relation to your feline friend. Thank you so much for your blessings which I happily return with interest. :)
      With Warm Regards,
      Dear Faith,
      Please....certainly no apologies necessary dear heart, for it is always a privilege to have you pay a virtual visit here and I never take them for granted because they are as special as their visitor.
      I'm sorry to hear you have been unwell of late and have been thinking about your below par condition over the last couple of days and can only pray that you are feeling a little better within yourself now.
      Indeed, God did create a masterpiece when he made woman and her charms always captivate, though sometimes there seems to be a fine line by not going overboard and leaving oneself open to temptation which happens all too easily these days, and is sometimes very difficult not to fall into, but therin lies the battle for every man, I'll wager, who wants to live in the light and not to be obsessively drawn towards the darkness.
      Thank you so much for your sharing kindness which shines through your wonderful comments, and it is a pleasure to share also.
      Get Well Soon precious Faith,
      Warmest Regards,
      R.Q.
      Dear Romeos,
      I apologize for my lateness in commenting here to your most enchanting poetry for all time and with the lovely photos of women who seem to capture that essence of demure.
      Seems I am a bit under the weather this day myself, but after a good day of rest and such, I believe I will be back up to my norm soon.
      I saw a glimpse of your profile, getting to this lovely poem, and love how you worded the fact of your poetry being published in so many "real" books : ) and I understand exactly to what you are referring.
      It is obvious in your writing, you are a man who admires God's beautiful creation ...the woman.
      You are a poet extraordinaire, like no other around these parts, and that is a good thing! Thank you, once again, for sharing in your beautiful gift with us all here in HP Town.
      Up and more and sharing
      (((Hugs)))
