A tribute to my friend
I lost another friend today
My friend a brilliant doctor, a dedicated young woman lost her battle with cancer. She was a woman of courage and an inspiration to many. A radiologist herself, she did not know that the dreadful disease was eating into her bones until it had spread. Death indeed seems to be a great leveler of bodies, but her spirit is what I admired the most. She worked almost until last week. She scanned her patients and wrote their reports and spoke to them kindly urging them to be courageous. Doc, I so admire you and I will miss you more than you will ever know. I know you are happy and free from suffering, I know you are in a better place and I will miss you until I see you again... I have loved you always...
A tribute to my friend
Death came calling,
Gruffly snarling,
Cancerous monster,
Deadly sniper!
Brave was she,
As only she could be,
Fought till the end,
For her life to extend.
Pain ripped through her,
Body so tender,
Stripped her off vigor,
As her life he did plunder.
Her spirit so strong,
Clearly to her did it belong,
She fought her fight,
Yet did not see the light.
Crying out in pain,
Calling out His name,
Determined to live,
And of her services to give.
Ministered by day,
For pain to allay,
Toiling at her clinic,
To the end she was stoic!
A doctor to her patients,
A radiologist of brilliance,
Scanning to ensure
That each life was secure!
Winner she was,
Though she lost,
A hero my friend,
To the very end!
I know you are free,
From pain and misery,
I see you smile tenderly,
As I cry softly!
