Life isn't altogether what we IMAGINE
Life isn’t altogether what we imagine
we taste the sweet and not the bitter,
we see the beautiful flowers but not
how they wither.
We look forward always
for the better and not for the worst. We feel
healthy yet sickness comes by. We see the sunshine
but not the dark clouds that will bring the rain.
Oh my friend life doesn’t always glitter but
sure will make you flitter . Pretty isn't always nice
and laughter isn't always joy.
Good things hide
behind shady trees and bad things sticks itself
right up front with all the diamonds and pearls.
Don’t be fooled by what’s flashed in front of you
It’s all a mirage and soon will pass away and
leave you wandering like a lost child. You’d
knock from pillar to post, but you won’t even
have a place to rest your soul.
Only regrets
and distress that you would hardly be able to neglect.
Haunted and confronted by the worldly pleasures
You ran after not knowing it was all just fantasies,
and not really what you had desired. You saw that
it soon brought about illusions and melancholies.
Now you are sorry and look for somewhere to
carry your worries, you feel all the pains by
the things you thought was so lovely to gain.
Everything that glitter is not gold, after every shower
there won’t always be a rainbow, but surely after
every storm there will come, a calm.
Look at life for what it is don’t allow love,
money, riches etc. to blind you
live your life like there will be no tomorrow.
Keeping God always in your happiness, troubles and woes.
For there’s no better place to keep them but in Christ.
