Mirror

Sometimes I don't feel pretty

when i look into my mirror

But, when I close my eyes

I get a vision so much clearer

A little bit of make up

to bring out my eyes

a beautiful dress

one that slims my thighs

A foundation to cover

the looks of my mother

a touch of mascara

to bring out the mystery

Do I need all this

just to feel pretty?

A spat of perfume

my favorite or yours

a dab will do

don't want to stink like a w***e

A comfortable top

and some matching shoes

not to high

my balance-I cant lose

Color my hair

with a diamond like shine

making you wish

your hair was like mine

Some lipstick to define

these beautiful lips

maybe a scarf

draping down to my hips

Maybe some hi-lites

around my face

to bring out the best

in this beautiful space

I open my eyes

and I look the same

I believe this mirror

Is playing a game.

Well, I love it. Truly shows that if you be you, you see you. It reflects the power of the mind creating a beautiful masterpiece inside and out. I especially like: "A foundation to cover the looks of my mother" LOL nice.

mylife=adventure**Thank you-I believe that also** --I am a hair dresser-I am adding a "IN HOME SALON" in my house..still in the works-It's just what I was thinking-while my hair was all pulled back-The 'day off look' and I was looking in the 'Construction dust' covered mirror- trying out the chair making sure everything was all lined up--

Great hub! I believe the most beautiful women look their best without make up but the poem was great!

It's okay to make yourself up and look nice, but at the same time the person inside is the most important. :)
