5 Study Tips
Sometimes for me it makes it easier if I have a snack and some water. Keeping hydrated is a really good way to help concentration and it works a lot better then drinking energy drinks. I know thats what a lot of people do is chug energy drinks, but for most people that just makes them jittery. Don't try to study when your tired because usually it won't stick anyways.
1. Turn off all electronic devices
Electronic devices are one if the biggest distractions that you can have. I always try to take care of all my business and anything else before I sit down to study. If you are extra tempted to check that one last text message, then just leave your phone in the other room.
2. Do everything that you can to study without a computer
We have all been there we get online to study then an hour later were on our 4th youtube video. The internet is like an addiction for me and I will be on it for hours. So in my case I end up just studying the old fashion way. A book, piece of paper and a pencil.
3. Note cards
Notecards have been something that teachers have forced us to use for many years. But honestly it is one of the easiest and most effective ways, plus you can whip them out anywhere without having to carry a 10 pound book with you.
4. Find somewhere quiet
Having a quiet space is so important for a productive study session. If you live with roommates, head to your schools library, or even your towns library.
5. Don't force it
If you are sitting and reading your textbook but your mind is a million miles away, it is doing you no good.
I know it is so hard to find the time to study, with our hectic lives it can be almost impossible. But studying is an important part in success in school, trust me i learned this the hard way. The most important thing to remember is to do your best and if your really struggling find help from someone, whether it be a parent, tutor or friend.
