The Bride in Waiting

Updated on January 30, 2015

The bride is the chosen one of the Most High God,

She is to be married, and is adorning herself in her holy attire,

As the wedding day, which is not so afar off approaches,

She is checking the bride’s catalog daily,

The Word of God!

It gives her all the direction she needs to be ready

Preparation for the Bridegroom’s return is her emphasis,

Attaching and adhering herself to His perfect will

Her heart is established and is trusting in His Word,

Yielding to Him in total submission

Committed, secure and resting in His loving care,

She is determined to be at peace in Him alone

Patiently, settled and still, knowing that He is God!

He’s coming back and I have His Word!

She proclaims loudly!

She knows that God’s ultimate and best will for her life

Is to be joined to Jesus Christ in marriage as the Bride of Christ,

Without spot and wrinkle or any such thing

Humbly she yields to His adornment of her holistically,

Revelation of His promises are unfolding preparing her for eternal life

God has adorned her spirit in a white gown of holiness,

Laced in the purest of righteousness

Her heart is decked with the gems of real character and true identity,

She is wearing the ornaments of love, the finest of precious jewels

Her head is veiled with wisdom and knowledge

of His ideal and perfect will for her,

She acknowledges God as her soon coming King

I am the Bride and I am adorning myself for my beloved,

Oh my Bridegroom, Oh my love!

Henceforth, I am patiently waiting for You,

Arraying myself in the holiest of apparel

I am Ecclesia the called out one by God,

The bride adorning myself and in waiting

Believing to abide with You eternally,

To live in Your perfect and complete will forever.

Hahaha! You are famous! And I've aclautly got a draft started for an entry just about you two, since we had quite a few fun adventures together I'll e-mail ya when I get a chance to post it. And believe it or not I'm almost half-way through the book!! I was a bit nervous at first about having enough time (especially when I saw the size of that thing!), but I think it's going to work out. Yay!

Good morning "PHILLYDREAMER" yes, this is both a biblical expression and a collective experiential reality. The bride is the embodiment of believers in Christ universally. All believers are part of the Body of Christ (the Church at large) and the Bible refers to us as the bride awaiting the Bridegroom (Jesus Christ) return to rapture His beloved people. The scriptural references to the bride are inherent with being adorned by principles, truths, and precepts for living and character and mindsets which are conforming us into that of Jesus Christ. This is what I mean by "A bride adorning herself and waiting" We are by the power of the Holy Spirit learning how and practically applying the oracles of God for living. The Scriptures teach us that the Word of God is settled in heaven forever, we are settling His Word for our lives in the earth for eternal life with Him. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior? or have you given it any thought as to where you will spend eternity after physical death? If yes, you are a member of the Body of Christ. If not if you read the poem, "Jesus is the Christ" it can serve as a guide in what God wants you to know and believe. I hope that this explains it better and if you ever need to know anything please feel free to ask, if I don't know the answer, I will seek it and find it for you. Have a great day!
