ODE TO SPRING...
What is it about a Butterfly in Spring...
That takes my Breath away?
Is it the way they spread their Wings,
As they delicately land on a Flower?
So careful not to ruin its Beauty,
As they Pollnate it around...and around.
If I were a Bird, I'd probably start to Sing.
Spring makes me feel so Alive...
I fall onto the grass and look up at the Sky,
And I'm a Kid again...I even think I can Fly!
Winter was much too long...such a Sad Song.
And then it's Spring and the Butterflies come along...
Bringing New Hope, for another New Beginning.
Making me feel I can do Anything...
Be Anyone... I choose to be.
But after thinking it through...
I still would choose... to be Me!
