a bilingual approach to love

has always served me best;

the language of bees

providing a basis

for interaction.

each flower dances just so,

its colors absorbing

the morning sun's glow,

its dewdrops

a bath--a face wash

filled with pollen

left over from the day before.

drunken bees

cannot resist.

just one more drink,

face planted

feet dancing

on papered petals,

a maneuver

without parallel

for its beauty

and its simplicity of need.

Your material conjures such wonderful thoughts of nature. I enjoy how this clearly is painted from a gorgeous palette.

      Audrey,

The poetess, like that drunken bee with dancing feet on papery petals, cannot resist the lure of words to pen, writing poems of unparalleled beauty. This is you, and I am once again awed by both your talent and fortitude. Wow!

      Thank you,

      Cat:)

At first glance the title made me think of a coworker of my husband who asked another of his colleagues how to say "I love you" in another language. She wrote it down for this guy and asked if he wanted to know how to say it. He said,"No" I am going to text it. Nonsense aside, this is a beautiful word picture of love.

Lovely, Audrey! Now I'm wondering - does the bilingual refer to your poetic language and that of the bee, or to the two honeyed tongues?

Beautiful, Audrey. What an imaginative approach-bilingual love. I love the images you create with your words - "paper petals". Love is intoxicating and so instinctual at the same time. Wonderful creative thoughts.
