A Children's Story~Doris and Donald, The Acrobatic Dolphins!

Updated on July 7, 2013

This is a short story I wrote a few years back one day....I lost the original so I'm rewriting it best from memory. I hope you enjoy it...

One day in a faraway land, way under the sea, a mother Doris was telling her two children, Andy and Julie about their father Donald, who passed away not more than a year ago.

You father and I met in France at a very romantic place, the Eiffel Tower. We had both been there on vacation after mastering art in acrobatics. You see, it all began when...

Your father Donald grew up in the Mesmeratic Sea...a place where many beautiful mermaids sighed and sung lullabys...Donald was no exception as a good looking dolphin in his family to these "expressions" and fell in love with one of the beautiful mermaids. But mermaids are not allowed to marry, so alas your father, heartbroken left to Niagra Falls. There he met a friend who convinced him to go on over the falls in a barrell! Well! That didn't go over too well on Donald, but it was a dare...

As your father flew down the falls and went way down deep in the water, he avoided the rocks at the bottom, but way down deep he did hit a rainbow colored rock which put his head quite out. Well, a pirate shart named Greets was there and rescued him! He wanted Donald to never come back and try to get his gold, and so he gave your father the magical gift of acrobatics!!

Afterwards your dad performed all over the world in Portugal, Ireland, France, Spain, and South America doing acrobatics like humans do. He won all sorts of medals.

When we met in France your dad fell in love with me so quickly. He fell in love with my personality and I his charm and wit. He even passed on his expertise for through our love, his magical powers passed onto me!

Needless to say my dears, you were born a year apart shortly after. But last year when your father left and you were too young to go, he performed in a place called the Black Sea, where the water is black from oil spills. Sad to say your dad did pass away and that's why you must tell everyone to keep the air and water clean.
