A Conversation
A conversation happening between a father and son
the conversation was bitter
Their words spoken echoed through the air
A son asked his father for a hand out
The father said, "I'll give you one for a price"
In reply the son said. "But Dad right now I'm in between jobs"
The father answered,"So is that my problem?"
The son became quiet,
then in a voice filled with anger,
the vibration of thunder, he spoke,
"Do you even know what it means to be a Father?"
Yes, you put a roof over my head
You kept me fed, but not once
have I ever heard you say,
"Son I love you" and to this day,
I walk with my head held high,
proud, because I know the man I am.
You reap what you sow,
and reap this seed you didn't, but sow its evil
you will."
