A Crescendo Of Fine Things.

Updated on October 15, 2011

A Second Attempt

Many talented hubbers have been tempted to try their hand at writing romantic and sensual poetry, me included. This is my second attempt to keep in the running of romance here, I hope that you enjoy reading it.

Join us now, to take part in an anthology of poetry and verse, which we hope to compile as a gift for loved ones at Christmas time. AA Zavala and Martie Coaster have paved the way for the many talented hubber's to follow. Check them out.

Romantic Crescendo of Inspired Moments.

As Autum leaves turn from red and gold, and are boldly blown upon the breeze,

memories of by gone days unfold, and gently caress the soul.

The feelings of sensitivity and the shiver from a finger tip,

holds the pleasure of sensuality and ribbons of light shine on

the world that two people share as one, in an envelope of love.

The blood red rose, with thorns as sharp as to nip a chilling prick of blood,

that I once shivered from head to toe in memories of romantic bliss.

Firelight crackles and candles glow, shadows on the wall doth show

a picture of lovers entwined, beneath the quilt of clouds that pass our window by.

Just as the robin puffs out his burnished red chest with pride, his eye quite clearly

on the little bird he has spied. His trill short and strong, sings of yearning

for all that enter his domain are as angelic as any other.

Romance is in the air, and shadows of asparagus tips are gently laid upon the silver plate,

for two lovers to play and share in the glow and pride that only romance can provoke.

Each nibble taken from a finger tip, so sensual on the lips, as eye to eye their faces glow

In the knowledge that dessert will flow, with a crescendo of fine champagne bubbles;

and laughter as heads are bowed, and from lustful looks of mutual admiration and changes

are about to unfold, on the relationship that was once just a friendship over loving cups.

Chocolate as smooth as velvet, tempts the taste buds with sinful pleasure, and strawberries

dipped so, that tantalise the imagination of forbidden fruit that touches the lips, in anticipation

of an elated touch with such trembling as no other .

Stars shine bright, with pure crystal twinkling of an eye, which allows the sparks to ignite in the

depths of the darkness, which now waves across the mind, in acceleration of crashing rolls of

lustful wonder.

Sparks will fly from love that is smouldering on the coals below, igniting a glow of flushed faces

in the pale blue hue from the candle light of imagination.

From deep within the ripples stir, of romance in the air and a crashing roll of thunder,

until anticipation can no longer be controlled, and all we can do is wonder, at the glorious sight

of body and soul, heightened together in pleasure and desire that no man can put asunder.

Good morning my dear friend mar, thank you for stopping by and leaving me such an encouraging comment. I am humbled to receive such praise from one of the best loved and multi-talented writers on HP. It is an inspiration to follow your work, and to know you for the lady that you are. Much love my dear little cyber sis. xx

There will be no coal in our stockings this holiday! What a fabulous anthology of love this will be.

Annette, your talent is inevitable, as you describe your rich life experiences and inner beauty in your work. I understand Mr Starr's feelings, sure that many other guys secretly share his sentiments about you!

Of all the writing you do, this style is perhaps my favorite. Voted UP & AB, mar.

Howdy my lovely American gentleman. Well Bill if you have read and left a comment I know for sure that you enjoyed this one. I love to see you comment, as I then know that it isn't dribble that I have written. Thank you for a lovely comment. x

A perfect example of how we can fall in love with someone simply by reading their words. My heart now belongs to my faraway Irish lass.

Hi Gail, I certainly have a good imagination my dear friend, but when it comes to putting it down on paper I go a little wayward lol But I am so enjoying the challenge of making sense out of my poetry at the moment. Thank you so much for your support.

Augustine my friend, thank you once again for linking my poem to you hubs. Truly kind sir, I am not a writer of poetry. In fact If you ever look back at some of my earlier attempts, they are pure dribble. It is by reading and learning such great talent as yourself that I am beginning to appreciate poetry more. And hopefully, improving myself. You continue to write hunnie and I will continue to read, learn and follow. x

My dear friend Martie, you are far too kind with your lovely supportive comments. I wish I could second your opinion, but alas I am far more reserved about being hurt now that I am older. But I still care and still support others, just not as eagerly as when I was young. x

Annette, again I must reiterate. You've been playing possum. Acting like you don't write poetry, sensual poetry, sensual, erotic, toe curling poetry. You my dear have talent. This piece is masterful, and takes us from the beginning until the end of the meeting. If any men are reading this, take note. This is how you meet and keep women, but understanding and respecting what they hold dear. Linked.

Annette, this is absolutely awesome. Love it love it love it! All the vivid images. I must admit that my appreciation of romance and all it entails grows deeper and intenser as I grow older. When I was younger I took this all for granted - just another Saturday night while Sunday's schedule is calling too loud for the moment to reach my soul. It seems to me if most people merely make memories while they are young and not love. I've voted this poem of yours up to the moon - if it misses the moon, it will be among the stars.
