A DESERT CAMEL'S LONE JOURNEY

Water = Life .
PACIFIC OCEAN GIVE NO WAVES
A Poem for Meja Beckman
-----------------------------------------
Five and a half million minutes ago, when
Love was first born on the barren planet of my heart,
A deep well of water lay in surprised discovery...
It was a place
Where only curious visitors could take a peek and see
reflections of themselves
up close
and when they did,
I froze the frame.
I kept the reflections of what they beheld
and what I saw
to myself...
And I, the Lone Desert Camel
trudged along the sands of reality
as I still do...
But it was more than five millions of minutes ago..when
I grew up to love
Took her name and stored
all the water I could
for future use....
But time leaves everyone poor
once more
Now as I try to find how much
of the water of love remain...
Dry ...I find a vague emptiness
and no more memory of reflections of any face
that I saw and knew
along the passage of time
through which I went
Sometime in praises sometime in lament.
However ...Long after the memories left me
To my happy surprise
I came to know
That of all the seeds that were planted
then..
One did take root and grow...
After all these years spent in exile
with memories of someone I never knew...
The one who bring forth water to nourish all life is here..
A little drop of water
frozen in a bubble
Has become a vast and mighty ocean
for me to sail through...
Someone must have been true
Someone..whom either never knew...
