A Day for James and Mohamed

Updated on August 7, 2013

This morning
James and Mohamed
wake up from their sleep
Both of them from
different time zone
But it doesnt matter
in cases like this.

James gazes through the window to see
birds flying by
vast green pasture
Mohamed gazes through the window to see
bombs falling from the sky
vast burnt field
a pile of rubble
James wellfed
ready to go to school
almost naked
starved to death
ready to fight a new battle
just to survive another day.

This poem is very touchy, brought tear in my eyes. I wish peace could be given a chance. sharing it.

Your work is driven and purposeful and you have a way with language that is both poignant and creative. It reveals a poets heart, someone who cares and can write with a certain depth of emotion. All this gives credence to your thoughts and imparts meaningful work. I have been writing for a lifetime and can appreciate talent. Best wishes.

The closest thing to being cared for is to care for someone else.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words. People always wonder when the world is going to end. I believe that the world will end when everyone stops loving and caring.

So true and more need to think about this and stop moaning about things that really don't matter.

I stop by and read your poetry and their power usually leaves me breathless and commentless. Please continue to write them though, I feel that opening up our social awareness on a daily basis is healthy and necessary. Jamie
