A Distant Light
Still Shining Bright
Almost forgotten
When we feel everything
Wondering if what we do is in vain
Losing energy and hope
Depression lurking in the back of our minds
We are left trying to comprehend
Doing all we can
To wrap our head around
Any possible solution
That makes sense
Ignorant to the facts
Relentless in our pursuit
We have been knocked around and beaten
Not only physically
Exhausted
Mentally left crushed by desires of a foreign land
Invisible
As we can not trace the lines
Before so certain now with a wavering hand
I close my eyes again
What do I see ?
Blank
Cold as the ocean or could it be the deep dark blue sea
Shivers go down my spine like porcupines
Sharp
So lethal and deadly
Like lifting a new razor gently trying to avoid one wrong move
Watching others as they go blindly
Walking without conviction or care
I want to be anywhere but here
