The Subtle Crochet
The Subtle Crochet
Take me to the river to quench my thirst
but bind not me to the river's shores.
Drop me on the hills to touch the sky
Leave not me at the summit's doors.
Take me up in arms to drown in love
Cage not me in the mind's bars.
Shower all smiles to fondle my heart
Leave me alone to kiss my pangs.
Give me all hopes to live on life
Let me levitate in all my faults.
Like fireflies who rush to light
I want to soar to the heavens.
Dreams delight in sweet delusion
Let me devour fabulous words.
Take me to altars to place the votive
Thread not me in the subtle crochet.
I want to taste life's juice whole
Entangle me not in good and bad.
