A Haiku - Mistrust

Updated on February 22, 2015

Does trust have to be earned, even regained?

In God We Trust, and in who else?

Does mistrust come before trust? Should it?

I want to trust you.

Gosh, I really do want to.

How can I learn to?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Trust, mistrust, trust again?

Have you really earned my trust?

Is enough enough?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I want to trust you.

Gosh, I really do want to.

Can I learn to now?

38 years I trusted my man with all my heart. I didn't have a clue what he was up to. He planed for 10 years. He was the one who didn't trust anyone, yet he was the one who couldn't be trusted.

Would I ever trust again? Probably, because that's the way I am. Could he ever be trusted by anyone? Hell no, that's the way he is.

Now you have to trust your own heart.

      Good hub, makes one think

Good question. I think there's no direct answer to who we can trust and even to how can we be sure we can trust. I know that I have never trusted any strangers and if a stranger became a friend it sure took a long time to have any trust and even then there was always some doubt unless we became the closest of friends. Words for thought - trust, mistrust, trust again? Because how many times have not people been betrayed by their nearest and dearest...
