A Little Part Of Me

Updated on December 15, 2016
And a part of my wife also
And a part of my wife also

Piece By Piece

Every day I uncover something new

It might not mean a lot to you

My past hidden under words

I constantly try finding the best ones to describe

The feelings over the years blocked

Many so emotional that have rocked my world

It has made me who I am today

I have suffered and survived

Now I do all I can

To brighten other people who are having a bad, sad or just horrible day

If you can't laugh at yourself

Maybe you can laugh with me

Of the mistakes I have made

Which has been many

I keep learning and moving forward

The future holds

A better life that can be found and repeated

If we know what we want and know how to get there

What better way

By sharing it through my writings in a unique fashion

It takes time and energy

To bring back memories

Once forgotten or some I just didn't remember

Now as plain as a stick figure on paper

It may lack talent but it never ceases to capture

The imagination and creativity of a spirit

We can not see

But resides deep within me

Changing Tides 2331 I am interested in what makes and keeps people happy. I know there are many things people don't like so it is narrowing the field. I still have a long way to go. Thank you for reading and sharing. If we did not have this tremendous give and take life would be boring. Have a great night.

grand old lady Our mind holds many mysteries and keeps information from us to keep us safe if it feels we are not able to deal with the truth. We might find things that only later we have matured and experienced life in such a way we now can understand and think differently about the events of our past. Thank you for reading and sharing. Here is to many more writings that dig deep into our memories that we can share with the world.

This is a lovely poem about buried memories and how we fear going back to them. It's one element of life that people don't usually write poems about. I wonder why, since it is so universal. I love your poem.

Enjoyed this. Life just wouldn't be the same without a heavy dose of imagination and creativity.

Jodah I am a slugger give me a bat and a ball and I can hit a few balls and give me a pen and some paper and I can write up a storm. Hopefully something good will come out of it. Only time will tell. billybuc I love a fan and today I have two. My mother was my biggest fan but I think she did it more out of love not necessarily the quality of work. Either way I never asked to many questions and I had a captive audience. Thank you both for your time and your patience. Have an incredible day.
