A Poem: A Batch of Bathers Beaching
Time and tide wait for no man (or woman.)
Observing at the beach....
~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Surly, shored sailors
Sopping summer's sun,
Watching willowy women
Warming winter's wan.
Bankers' business bodies
Bronzed beyond belief.
Lusty, lifelong lovers
Lolling like lost leaves.
Red-necked, robust runners
Romping rimey rims.
Chattering, chummy children
Chomping chewy gums.
Usually upper-class mums
Unguentined under umbrellas.
Pedantic, pensive poet
Painting picture poems.
